Randy Werneth is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience in both small entrepreneurial and Fortune 500 corporations in the medical device industry.
Mr. Werneth has recently founded CardioCorX. A Structural Heart / EP company. Previously, Mr. Werneth successfully started several other venture backed companies including Acutus Medical, Ablation Frontiers (acquired by Medtronic), LeanTherapeutics (VC funded), CryoTherapeutics (Stand-alone EU company) and CardioStream (acquired technology through private deal).
Mr. Werneth previously held senior level positions at Medtronic, Micro Therapeutics and Edwards Lifesciences where he engineered and/or managed the design & development of numerous medical technologies and clinical procedures in the fields of stents, neuro-embolic materials, vulnerable plaque and electrophysiology. He also sits on the board of several venture funded medical device companies in the US and Europe.
Mr. Werneth holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) and a Masters in Science from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has more than 65 issued U.S. Patents in various medical technology fields.
